Aligning the Handheld’s Antenna

In the following illustrations, it is important to note that the narrowest part of the handheld’s antenna should be positioned closest to, and aligned parallel with, the ERT module’s antenna.

Note:  An FC300 handheld with SRead radio or 900MHz Belt-Clip Radio is required for reading and programming 100G ERT modules.

Note:  An FC300 handheld with SRead radio or 900MHz Belt-Clip Radio is required for reading and programming 60WP and 80W-i ERT modules.

Note:  An FC300 handheld with SRead radio or 900MHz Belt-Clip Radio is required for reading and programming 100W ERT modules.

Important!  100W series ERT modules are datalogging devices, capable of long-range transmission of up to 40 days' worth of historical hourly meter readings (interval data). However, FDM does not support long-range reads on 100W series modules. For FDM to retrieve either historical or current meter readings from 100Ws, the mobile device running FDM must be less than 50 feet from the ERT module.
