System Administration Nodes
The System Administration workbench is only visible to users with standalone hosted FDM Tools Systems or FDM Systems that are hosted on-premises.

Business Units |
Lets you set up your organization’s business units and define their properties. In this node you can also configure two of FDM’s most useful and time-saving features for each business unit—the meter access program and the audit engine. |
Languages |
Lets you enable the languages you want to make available to users of the FDM server client software from among the languages supported by the current FDM version. |
Import/Export Packages |
Lets you add, enable, and disable SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages that the system executes during imports and exports. |
Mobile Devices |
Lets you view all mobile devices registered in FDM, as well as the business unit to which each is registered. Lets you update the FDM mobile application on your handheld and laptop meter data collection devices. You can install a new version of the application on all of your mobile devices or only on selected ones. |
Provisioning Packages |
Lets you upload, enable, disable, and remove FDM mobile application provisioning packages on the server and make them available to your business units. |

Device Configurations |
Lets you enable the endpoint/meter/register configurations used by your organization to be included in work orders sent to your business units’ mobile devices. |
Network Security Keys |
Lets you set up your system’s network security keys, for use by mobile devices when communicating with Itron OpenWay modules. This node appears only if you enable one or more devices in the Device Configurations view that use network security keys. |
Utility IDs |
Lets you set up your Itron-assigned utility IDs in FDM. This node appears only if you enable one or more devices in the Device Configurations view that use utility IDs. |
Wakeup Tones |
Lets you enable and disable endpoint wakeup tones for use by your business units This node appears only if you enable one or more endpoints in the Device Configurations view that use wakeup tones. |
Security |
(Appears only in systems that have enabled endpoint configurations that support Itron ChoiceConnect security). |
ISM Configuration |
Lets you configure one or more Itron Security Manager (ISM) servers for your FDM system, and lists each enhanced security capable device type defined in ISM and its default security level. |
