Galvani Endpoints

Galvani meter firmware determines the meter's capabilities. FDM provides a way to update the Galvani endpoint firmware through the FDM mobile application.

Firmware for Galvani meters consist of two files, a .bin-formatted file and a .txt-formatted file which are contained in a single compressed (ZIP) file. The .bin file contains the firmware binary images. The .txt file contains the firmware header and metadata.

When a system administrator uploads firmware to the server, FDM validates that the firmware is a supported variation.
