Utility IDs

The Utility IDs node appears in the navigation pane only if you enable endpoint configurations that include utility IDs (for more information, see Device Configurations). Use it to view, reorder, enable or disable, and modify the properties of utility IDs used by your business unit’s workflows (for more information, see Common Business Administration Procedures).

If your utility uses the FDM mobile application’s Network Coverage tool with 100 series ERT modules, you should specify one utility ID as the network utility ID. This should match the utility ID assigned to your network’s cell control units (CCUs), repeaters, and ERT-GTWYs. The network utility ID lets the mobile application identify network components when it performs a network coverage test in the field. If you fail to designate a network utility ID, you run the risk of having a neighboring utility’s CCUs, repeaters, and ERT-GTWYs respond when the FDM mobile application broadcasts its network coverage message.
