Updating or Requesting a Signed Authorization Token
The Signed Authorization Token is a time-based token issued by the OpenWay Operations Center Collection Manager (OWCM) to the FDM Tools user. The employee who requests the token must have VPN client access to the OWCM server and a user name in the OWCM with Signed Authorization user permissions.
Note: You must use Port 8103 when requesting Signed Authorization Tokens. The HTTP port is secured utilizing Kerberos authentication protocol.
- Open and synchronize the FDM Tools mobile client to the hosted server.
- Ensure that the certificate's PEM files are located in the correct directory in the computer.
- Establish a VPN connection with the OWCM server.
- Open FDM Tools and double click the Update Signed Authorization menu item.
-
When prompted, enter the username and password for the OWCM.
After you have completed these steps, the FDM Tools screen refreshes and displays the following information:
- the new, valid token
- issue date
- expiration date
