Introduction to Riva Distributed Intelligence

Distributed Intelligence is the concept of enabling endpoint devices to gather data, analyze the data, make decisions, and take actions. To make this set of functions possible, Distributed Intelligence agents are loaded to Riva devices.

The Field Deployment Manager Tools application provides an innovative approach to locally managing Distributed Intelligence applications.

Note: Although DI Agents can be loaded and managed with FDM Tools, the agents can only be licensed when the meter is on the AMI network. Licensing has to be done through the network using the Itron Enterprise Application Center.
