Running the Mobile Client installation wizard in a different language

When you run the FDM mobile client installation wizard using the MobileClientSetup.exe icon (see Running the installation wizard), the wizard automatically runs in the same language as your PC’s operating system, as long as it is a language supported by the current version of FDM. If the operating system language is not a supported by FDM, the installation wizard runs in English.

You can run the installation wizard in a different language from the one specified in your computer’s operating system if you start it from a command prompt, rather than using the MobileClientSetup.exe icon.

  1. On the PC’s Windows desktop, open the MobileClientSetup.zip file you downloaded from the Customer Center Web site (see Downloading the FDM application files or installation wizard).

The zip file contains a single file named MobileClientSetup.exe.

  2. Extract MobileClientSetup.exe from the zip file.

  3. Open a command prompt (CMD) window as an administrator.

  4. In the command prompt window, change the current directory to the directory containing the MobileClientSetup.exe program.

  5. Type the following command:

MobileClientSetup /l"xxxx", where xxxx is the four-digit operating system language code, enclosed in quotation marks.

Note: There should be no space between the /1 and the first set of quotation marks ("). For example, if your PC's operating system is in English and you want the installation wizard to run in Italian, type: MobileClientSetup/"1040" then press Enter.

Likewise, if your PC's operating system is in Italian and you want the wizard to run in English, type: MobileClientSetup/I"1033" then press Enter.

  6. Continue the installation as directed under Running the installation wizard .
