Reset Endpoint
Use Reset Endpoint to reset an endpoint’s utility ID to zero. For endpoints that report tampers, the Reset Endpoint command also clears the tamper counter values. You must have Reset Endpoints permission to perform this function.
The following endpoint types support the Reset Endpoint action command.
- Electric endpoints:
- 40E
- 45E
- Gas modules:
- 40G/40GB
- 100G
- 100G DL
- 100G DLN
- 100G DLT
- Water modules:
- 40W
- 50W
- 60WP
- 80W-i
- 100W
- 100WP
- 100W-R
- 100WP-R
The following diagram summarizes the procedure for resetting most of these endpoint types.
When resetting a 60WP or 80W-i module, you must first activate its programming mode (see 60WP and 80W-i Endpoint Programming Mode Activation). For these endpoint types, the procedure includes an additional step.
An IMR is required for 60WP, 80W-i, and 100 series ERT modules.
