Exporting OpenWay COSEM Log Files

This feature packages three log files that are helpful in diagnosing issues.

  • \ProgramData\Itron\FDM\Logs\FDM.log
  • \ProgramData\Itron\FDM\Workflows\OpenWay COSEM\stunnel\stunnel.log
  • \ProgramData\Itron\FDM\Workflows\OpenWay COSEM\DLMSLog.txt

The three files are packaged into a zip file to send to Itron Support to assist in troubleshooting problems.

  1. If you are currently logged into a device, log out. This feature is disabled when logged in.
  2. Click the Tools buttons and select Export OpenWay COSEM Logs.
  3. Either:
    1. Choose Export logs to file and then click Finish.

    2. In the Save As dialog, choose a directory location for the file.

      The default is FDM Logs.zip. You can substitute a different file name, but not a different extension.

    3. Click Save.

    1. Choose Send logs as an email and then click Finish.

    2. Your email application creates a new email message with the FDM Logs.zip file attached.
