Read Tampers

Use Read Tampers to retrieve and view an endpoint’s meter reading and tamper values. The tamper information retrieved with this option is more complete than the information returned by the Read Endpoint and Check Endpoint options. You must have Read Tampers permission to perform this function.

The following endpoint types support the Read Tampers action command:

• Electric endpoints:
  • 40E
  • 45E
• Gas modules:
  • 40G/40GB
• Water modules:
  • 40W
  • 50W

The following illustration summarizes the procedure for reading tampers with these endpoint types.

An IMR is required to perform this function.
