Activating a 2.4GZ OpenWay Gas Module

On the bottom of the 2.4GZ gas module’s cover are two ridges (1) and a stop (2) to ensure that the magnet (Itron part number MSE-0159-003) is placed in the correct location to wake-up the module.

1. Place the magnet face with the Itron logo and part number flat against the bottom of the cover, with the arrow on the magnet pointing toward the back of the module. Slide the magnet back toward the 2.4GZ back plate until it touches the stop. Hold the magnet in place for five seconds and remove it.

   

   This activates the module long enough to communicate with the handheld.
