Create CRF File

Use this window to perform a contingency read, a function provided for the situation where the meter has lost communication with the network and you must send field personnel to the premises to collect meter data for billing and evaluation.

Use the following fields to set the amount of load profile and event data that FDM Mobile Client will capture from the meter.

CRF File Directory

The field displays the default location where the CRF file will be saved. Use the Browse button if you want to change to a
different location.

Max Days of Profile Data

All Data. All profile data stored in the meter will be included in the CRF file. This can be a large quantity of data, which affects the time it takes to create the file.

15 30 45 70 120 Days. All profile data from the most recently completed interval back the selected number of days.

A maximum of 18600 load profile records can be retrieved without a timeout error. This number is large enough to handle 60 days of five-minute intervals.

Max Days of Event Data

All Data. All event data stored in the meter will be included in the CRF file. This can be a large quantity of data, which affects the time it takes to create the file.

Include Register Values

Include Self Read Data

Include Instantaneous Values

Include Voltage Profile Data

Include Instrumentation Profile Data

Select the check boxes of the data to be included in the CRF file.

If you select Include Register Values, all register data is
captured.

Click Next to create the CRF file. When finished, the window displays a success message. If the operation fails, a message displays information about the failure. At this point you have the option to select Back to perform additional operations or choose Quit to log out.

File names are constructed as follows:

  • For Load Profile, Register, and Self Read Data, the file name is

    CRF_nnnnnnnnn_yyyymmddtttttt.xml

  • For Event Data, the file name is

    CRF_EVT_nnnnnnnnn_yyyymmddtttttt.xml

  • For Voltage Profile, the file name is

    CRF_VP_nnnnnnnnn_yyyymmddtttttt.xml

  • For Instrumentation Profile, the file name is

    CRF_IP_nnnnnnnnn_yyyymmddtttttt.xml

where

  • nnnnnnnnn = the selection in for "Meter ID Used in File Name"
  • yyyymmddtttttt = the date and time that the command was initiated.
