Clock Configuration (UTC / Local)

Gen5 devices keep track of Universal Coordinated Time (UTC). If Convert Time to Local is checked (see Workflow Settings) the device derives local time and displays it instead of UTC time in several date fields.

Field label	Description
Device Time	The local date and time in the device.
Time Zone Offset (minutes)	The difference in minutes between local time and UTC.
Clock Synchronization	This item is configured in the Itron Device Configuration Manager (IDCM) under Register Operation. Line Frequency. The clock is currently running on the Line Sync Frequency (Hz). Internal Crystal. The clock is currently running on the device's battery.
DST Enabled	This value is set in the configuration file. True. Your locality participates in Daylight Saving Time. False. Your locality does not participate in DST.
DST Start Date	If DST is enabled, the date on which the device switches from standard to Daylight Saving Time.
DST End Date	If DST is enabled, the date on which the device switches from Daylight Saving Time to standard.
DST Offset (minutes)	The number of minutes before or after midnight at which the time change occurs.
