File Retrieval

Use this function only if Itron Support instructs you to do so.

Creating Debug Files

 

1. Select the Device Control Panel workflow.
2. Log onto the device and then select Advanced Diagnostics > File Retrieval.
3. Click Recreate Device Paths or Retrieve All Data.
4. Select the path to retrieve the files from.
5. Select the file location on your computer where you want the debug file to be saved, and create a file name.

   The process creates two files with the extensions .tar.gz. and .tar.gze. The .tar.gze files are only needed when Itron requests users to send files for data extrapolation.

   If the process fails, it displays an error message. Consult Itron Support for assistance.
