ApplicationServices (AppServ)

ApplicationServices (AppServ) is a code package that sits alongside the meter firmware on DI-capable meters. AppServ provides the means of communication with DI agents using subscriptions and permissions. On a GenX Network, AppServ is included in DI-capable meter firmware images, but can also be deployed through Field Deployment Manger (FDM) Tools or the Itron Enterprise Application Center (EAC).

On a GenX Network AppServ updates are released on an as-needed basis.

DI App Platform

The DI App Platform supports the import, storage, and presentation of DI outcomes data. The DI App Platform is comprised of the Itron Analytics software platform.

For hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) customers, DI App Platform updates are automatically deployed every third Wednesday. For managed appliance customers, DI App Platform updates are managed by Itron and may use a different schedule.

DI applications

DI applications are outcomes available to DI customers that are installed on DI-capable meters as two parts: an agent and license. DI applications are licensed, deployed, and managed in Itron Enterprise Application Center (EAC). Outcome data from DI applications is viewed in UIs in the DI App Platform.

DI application updates are released on an as-needed basis. New DI application versions are made available through the Itron Enterprise Application Center (EAC).

Some agents (such as the HAN agent) are included in DI-capable meter firmware images.

Distributed Intelligence Network Adapter (DINA)

The Distributed Intelligence Network Adapter (DINA) delivers metering data from applications that run on Itron Gen™5 Riva endpoints. The DINA user interface provides the ability to create and manage data-collection jobs for supported Itron Gen5 Riva devices

DINA updates are released on an as-needed basis.

For hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) customers, DINA updates are automatically deployed. For on-premises customers, DINA deployments are managed by the utility.

Itron Enterprise Application Center (EAC)

The Itron Enterprise Application Center (EAC) provides DI application, application version, and application/version-to-meter management. The EAC's web-based interface allows utility users to view available DI applications and versions, maintain DI application licenses, install licensed DI applications on compatible electric endpoints, track application/version-to-meter relationships, and more.

EAC updates are automatically deployed every third Thursday.
