Create job

The Create Job interface enables you to perform an on-demand or recurring DI read on a group or on one or more specified devices. You can specify the date range of the data to retrieve, as well as a date and time for the job to begin (if not immediately).

Important! At least one new DI Outcome job must be created and completed before any agent-based device data becomes available. When searching for the results of this type of job, select the DI Outcome option from the Read Type dropdown. See Job search for details.

To retrieve outcome data from devices running a specific application (for example, High Impedance Detection), it is not necessary to run an interrogation job targeting a specific group. This is because any interrogation job targeting a specific group retrieves all outcome information from that group, not just the data from a specific application. Since outcome data from a specific application cannot be targeted directly, it's more efficient to target all active devices with a single global interrogation job.

To poll data at higher frequencies, you can target APGG groups, as the default interrogation job runs once every 24 hours. For load balancing in larger deployments, you can schedule separate interrogations to target different devices at different times (for example, 25% at 6 AM, 25% at noon, 25% at 4 PM, and 25% at midnight).
