GroupName

The name of the service point group. The group name is optional and the value does not have to be unique. However, Itron recommends that you use unique group names because some applications show the GroupName value in the user interface. The GroupName provides a human-friendly identifier for the group.
When creating an MDI file for both ChoiceConnect Fixed Network and Itron Analytics, this value is usually the same as for the GroupId attribute. The GroupName and the GroupId fields can be different, but to keep balance between the systems, they should be the same if you are using them to identify the same thing, such as a cycle/route number. You do not have to create groups in both ChoiceConnect Fixed Network and Itron Analytics at the same time. If you want to create a group in only ChoiceConnect Fixed Network, then you only populate the GroupId value. If you want to create a group in only Itron Analytics, you would only populate the GroupType and the GroupName values.
