PrimaryCollectionSystem

The collection system that collects data from the endpoint. This attribute serves two purposes.

• When creating an MDI file for both ChoiceConnect Fixed Network and Itron Analytics, using the value FixedNetwork tells the ChoiceConnect Fixed Network system that all accounts should be stored in the ChoiceConnect Fixed Network database. If you use one of the other acceptable values, such as MVRS or FCS when importing the MDI into ChoiceConnect Fixed Network, the import process will not import the accounts where MV-RS or FCS are used. Only the ChoiceConnect Fixed Network accounts get imported.
• This attribute's value is displayed on the CSR screen in Itron Analytics. When utility personnel view an account in Itron Analytics, the Primary Collection System shows where the data is expected to come from. If there is a large gap in the data, knowing what the primary collection system is could provide an easy explanation for the gap.

	Itron Analytics	Optional. This attribute is ignored during the import into Itron Analytics. The UtilityId attribute is hard coded to default in the database.
	ChoiceConnect Fixed Network	Required for NPA. The Network Performance Application (NPA) in Fixed Network requires that you set the PrimaryCollectionSystem attribute to FixedNetwork in the baseline file. Without this element, the import to NPA fails.
