Multiple meters at a single service point

As with a manifold meter, utilities may also have situations where they split a water pipe to use less expensive meters. In the following example, instead of using one six-inch meter for a commercial application, they may use three two-inch meters for service at the same service point and account. This may be done to measure different floors or to separately measure a residence and irrigation. These meters are all billable to the service point and account they are linked to.

Account > Service point > Meter 1 > Endpoint device 1

Meter 2 > Endpoint device 2

Meter 3 > Endpoint device 3

Meter 4 > Endpoint device 4
