Itron Analytics, Fixed Network, and MV-RS

The following illustration shows the common event format passing data from Fixed Network to the mobile collection system, and then from the mobile collection system to Itron Analytics and Fixed Network.

1. Endpoints send event data to FCS or MV-RS.
2. FCS or MV-RS exports events in the CEF v2.0 format.
3. Fixed Network and Itron Analytics import the event data.

Caution: Fixed Network, MV-RS, and FCS can export events for the same service point. When Itron Analytics receives events for the same service point from different collection engines, Itron Analytics applies rules to determine which events to import and save. If the collection systems do not use the same event types for events from the same meter, then Itron Analytics might store or display inconsistent or incorrect data. Itron delivers systems pre-configured to accommodate these scenarios. Be careful not to change these mappings.
