Itron Analytics, Fixed Network, and FCS

The following illustration shows the common event format passing data from Fixed Network to the mobile collection system, and then from the mobile collection system to Itron Analytics and Fixed Network.

1. Endpoints send event data to FCS.
2. FCS exports events in the CEF v1.0 format.
3. Fixed Network and Itron Analytics import the event data.

Caution: Fixed Network, MV-RS, and FCS can export events for the same service point. When Itron Analytics receives events for the same service point from different collection engines, Itron Analytics applies rules to determine which events to import and save. It is the utility’s responsibility to configure the collection systems to use the same event types for events from the same meter. The failure to do so may result in Itron Analytics storing and displaying inconsistent or incorrect data. For more information see the Itron Analytics product documentation.
